(Las Vegas, NV) – A judge has indefinitely delayed the sworn depositions of two witnesses in the valley’s hepatitis C outbreak. The “Review-Journal” says Rodolfo Meana and Carole Gruesking can’t provide videotaped testimony because they are too ill. The statements were to have been used against Doctor Dipak Desai and two of his nurses in their criminal trial this October. Health officials say at least seven people contracted hepatitis C from Desai’s now-closed Endoscopy Center of Southern Nevada in 2007.
